BOOTS & ROOTS
4th in Fort Pierre EVENT Grant Application

The Fort Pierre Tourism & Promotion Council (FPTPC) invites local organizations, businesses, and community members to apply for the 2026 Boots & Roots 4th of July Event Grants, available now through January 21, 2026.

In honor of the nation’s Semiquincentennial—the 250th anniversary of the United States—Fort Pierre will host a once-in-a-generation celebration: Boots & Roots 4th in Fort Pierre, a multi-day festival highlighting the community’s heritage, hospitality, and deep historical roots. To help expand the celebration and attract visitors, FPTPC will award event grants to support new or returning events held in Fort Pierre between July 1 and July 5, 2026.

Grants of up to $2,500 are available, each requiring a 50% cash match. Funded projects must demonstrate strong potential to bring travelers to Fort Pierre, especially by supporting overnight stays at local lodging establishments. Additional priority will be given to new events designed to draw tourists during this
landmark year.

Applications must be received by January 21, 2026. Award notifications will be issued by February 15, 2026. Completed applications and proposal materials may be emailed or mailed to:
